I remade my handmade pack rod using the reel seat of the cherry tree got from Daniele-san.
The rod blank is ABY Special GF7544 (7'6" #4-5 4pc) that purchased in 1983.
It is the graphite blank of un-sand finish that was a feature of Orvis of those days,
but it is the drawback the brown paint of surface is weak.
The closed length of this rod is 61cm.
I am satisfied to the rod action, and have been using it as a spare rod.
It is not a high-end rod blank, but it was a good finish and I want to use it regularly from now on too. |
