Comet 72P/Denning-Fujikawa 佐藤英貴氏(東京都大田区)は、長年見失われていた彗星72Dを検出した。それは、1881年から1978年の 間と1978年以降再び見失われていた。 6月17.8日UT、iTelescope天文台(Siding Spring, オーストラリア)の0.43-m f/6.8アストログラフ (輝度フィルター)で適度に集光した25"のコマがあった。6月18.8日UT、天候がすぐれないコンディション の中、20秒20枚のスタックイメージには適度に集光した25"のコマがあったが尾は見えなかった。 wバンド光度は円形開口半径13"の中で測定された。 検出位置は次のとおり、 2014 UT R.A.
