Comet C/2019 J1 (Lemmon)

R. A. Kowalskiと D. Rankinの通報によると、5月4日UT、良好なシーイングの下、南アリゾナ
のMt Lemmonにある1.5-m 反射望遠鏡で得たCCDから彗星を発見した。およそ10"のコマとp.a. 260°
にかすかに広いおよそ40"の尾がある。5月5.4日、良好なシーイングで、KowalskiとRankinによって
フォローアップ観測が行われ、まだハッキリと彗星活動があり、幅およそ21"のコマが見られる。
B. M. Africanoは、5月5.5日UT、少しもやのかかった低空で、Mt LemmonにあるSteward天文台の
1.0-m 反射望遠鏡で確認画像を得た。個々のイメージは、この彗星は周辺の恒星に比べ拡散して
見える。
小惑星センターのPCCP webpageに公表後、佐藤英貴氏(東京都文京区, iTelescope 天文台, 0.43-m 
f/6.8 アストログラフ, Siding Spring, NEW, 遠隔操作:5月5.78日UT、60秒露出6枚のスタックで、
強く集光した12" のコマが見えるが尾はない。6".4の円形範囲で測定した光度は18.0等であった)ら
CCD位置観測者によって彗星状と観測された。

     This object was reported as a comet by R. A. Kowalski and D. Rankin (G96,
May 4), who described an approximately 10" coma and a faint, broad 40" tail
in P.A. 260.  The next night, they noted a ~ 21" coma.  Other reports are
