Comet P/2005 S3 = 2016 Q1 (Read) K. Sarneczky (Konkoly 天文台)とP. Szekely (Szeged大学)は、8月27.0日と28.1日UT、Konkoly 天文台 Piszkesteto Stationの0.60-m Schmidt望遠鏡得たフィルターなしのCCD露出でP/2005 S3 (IAUC 8608を参照)を検出した。 この彗星の外観はほぼ恒星状で、150秒露出12枚のスタックでp.a. 260°に向かって10"の狭い尾が ある。 MPC 8432のG.
