She was told via doctors and e-mail friends in the U.S. that there was a much higher incidence of Behchet's in Japan than in North America. She is hoping, therefore, that she will be able to find a little more information about new treatments or research that the Japanese medical community may have developed. I asked a Japanese friend to do an internet search for Behchet's and your homepage came up. I hope that you don't mind me writing to you. If you have the time, she would like to know of any hospitals or clinics here in Japan that specialize in treating this disease. She is currently on hormones and steroids. Any advice you can offer her would also be greatly appreciated. She will be here in Japan until October 28th, so if you can reply before that time so that she can possibly visit or contact any special hospital in Japan during her stay. It is my hobby and quite an easy routine task for me to answer on homepage. On the contrary, it is an extrawork to answer each person one by one by e-mail and it easily makes my routine work complex and slow. Moreover an e-mail can help only one person. On the otherhand, homepage might help a lot of people all over Japan and the world if I answer once.

In Kanagawa-prefecture "The 3rd Internal Medicin in St. Marianna Medical Colledge" is one of the most famous group for the clinical work of Behcet disease in Japan.
I do not think that any particular special treatment method for this disease
exists in Japan which is not known to the doctors in other countries.
