Yoshikazu Fujioka

1948 Born in Kyoto, Japan.

1966 Graduated from Design department, Fine Arts Course, Kyoto Municipal Hiyoshigaoka
Senior High School.

1970 Bachelor of Spatial Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Aichi Prefectural University of
Fine Arts and Music.

1970 Involved in planning, designing, and operation of displays and commercial spaces.

1975 Began trout fishing, and began to drew trout, mountain streams, and so on.

1979 Formed a fishing club "Tsuttenkai" with my friends.

1991 The ink drawing of Iwana Japanese Char was published in the title-page of
The mountain stream fishing VOL.7 (Sakufu Co.).

1994 Drew a lot of illustrations such as animals, plants, birds, fish, shellfishes, insects, and
extinct organisms for the natural pavilion and two other pavilions in Ehime Prefectural
Science Museum.

1996 Drew a lot of illustrations such as animals, plants, birds, fish, shellfishes, planktons,
and extinct organisms for the exhibition room A in Shiga Prefectural Lake Biwa Museum.

1996 Drew illustrations of agriculture and natural environment, etc.
for Biwakooohashi Kome Plaza.

1997 Opened the web Page.

1999 The watercolor paintings of "Trout and seasons of The Mountain Village" were published
in the Art gallery of FlyFisher June issue (Tsuribito Co.).

2000 The watercolor paintings and Essay of "Trout and seasons of The Mountain Village"
were published in the KEIRYU SPECIAL 2000 (Weekly Sunday Fishing Co.).

2000 Designed trout's papercraft, and opened to the public in my webpage.

2001 The trout's papercrafts were published on the Streamside No.11 (Ei-Publishing Co., Ltd.).

2001 The trout's papercrafts were recorded on the J&P Joshin's sales promotion CD-ROM.

2002 Drew a lot of illustrations such as animals, birds, fish, shellfishes, and insects
for The Headstream Museum of Forest and Water in Kawakami-mura village Nara.

2003 "Trout and seasons of The Mountain Village" was taken up and broadcasted
by a program Feel Search of the Kansai TV.

2003 Iwana's papercraft was recorded on the CD-ROM of the magazine Windows100%
(Shinyusha Co., Ltd.).

2004 The interview article to me about "Trout and seasons of The Mountain Village"
were published in the NHK Shumi yuyu (Japan Broadcast Publishing Co., Ltd.).

2009 Drew 17 Pencil and Wash drawings for poster "Connects Kyoto and Osaka" of
the Keihan Electric Railway Co., Ltd.

2012 The interview article to me about Traditional Tenkara Kebari was published on Fishing Cafe
AUTUMN 2012 VOL.42 (SHIMANO INC.). And the picture of Kebari was used for the cover.

2013 The picture of Kebari was used for the introduction article of the Tenkara fishing on
NORR SPRING that is the outdoor and lifestyle magazine about Scandinavia in German.

2015 The pictures of Kebari were used for the article "In Search of Tenkara"
by Mr. Daniel W. Galhardo in Alpine Modern Magazine Issue 04 (Alpine Modern).

2016 My article of Traditional Japanese Kebari "Origins of Japanese Flies" was published in
Tenkara Magazine Volume 3 (Tenkara USA) with the photos of Kebari.

2016 The pictures of sea flies were used in Special feature "Artificial Baits of The sea -
Theory of evolution of Sea Fly" of Fishing Cafe AUTUMN 2016 vol.54 (SHIMANO INC.).

2017 The picture of Kebari was used for the article "Fishing a Go! Go! In search of wild plants
and trout, To the valley that flows from Akita Shirakami Mountains" by Mr. Noboru Endo in
Field Life No.56 (Ei-Publishing Co., Ltd.).

2017 The talk of Dr. Ishigaki who is a Tenkara fishing expert and me, and the picture of Kaga-
kebari for Tenkara were published in Fishing Cafe AUTUMN 2017 VOL.57 (SHIMANO INC.),
and the pictures of Kebari was used for the cover.

2019 The pictures of Traditional Sanada Kebari were used in [Fishing gear Story] of Fishing Cafe
SPRING 2019 VOL.62 (SHIMANO INC.).

2022 The pictures of Banshu kebari were used to the product "BANDANA" that utilizes
a local industry "Banshu-ori" and a traditional craft "Banshu kebari" in the Banshu region.

2023 My drawings of trout were used in the documentary film "A TROUT IN THE MILK" that
reexamines the relationship between Japanese people and char and explores the vision for
the future to better conserve the natural environment.

–––– The pictures and trout's papercrafts were introduced to many such as the personal
computer magazines, the fishing magazines, the outdoor magazines, the women's
magazines, and the corporate information magazines.
They are used for a event tool and teaching material, etc. in the domestic and foreign
official bodies and educational institutions many times.
