Tenkara Hand Made Equipment |
Chest pouch
Patagonia Stealth Work Station 5L. This pouch is designed to be attached to the suspenders of waders but I have modified so that the lanyard of the chest pouch used before can be used. The other portions which added my hand are how to attach the net releaser and the forceps etc. |

Camera sheath and
Thermometer sheath To take out the camera and the thermometer promptly when necessary, each sheaths are made with a leather and are fasten with the safety pin in the pouch pocket. To make is easy, only pastes and sews the right and left of sheath and the loop of safety pin. |
Line wallet
This can arrange and store two or more tenkara lines of different length. The more it uses, the more it becomes the wallet out of which the taste comes, if it attaches the cover of a leather using a card-holder of 100-yen shop, etc. |
Waste line holder
The compact and inexpensive a waste line holder with a thickness of 5 mm that uses MUJI aluminum card case. Since the long lines are stored wrapped around, attach the hook side of the Velcro to the sheet for reinforcement, cut it to the size of a business card, and place it in the case. |
Water bottle
EARLY TIMES Yellow label 200ml PET bottle is an ultralight water bottle with a bourbon whiskey that can be bought around 500 yen. To remove a label dip the PET bottle in hot water 70°C or less. There is other bourbon whiskey of PET bottle, but since this bottle is curving and it is easy to adapt itself to a breast or a hip pocket, I think that it is easy-to-use. |
Tenkara rod
I change and use the grip of all my tenkara rods of mine into the straight shape like my fly fishing rods of Western style. Since the grip position is not restricted by doing so, I like it. |

Rod bag and
Rod case
The rod bag are using Japanese traditional cotton fabrics. When making with new cloth, before sewing, it is necessary to dip in water and to make it shrunk to the utmost. The rod case is a vinyl chloride pipe, and is putting in three rods which I always use. It is easy to make both. |
